Since then, though, the company has said nothing official about the IP or its plans for the franchise. Sony has had ownership of Sunset Overdrive for over a year, as it confirmed as much back in 2019.
After six years of console exclusivity, Sunset Overdrive could be coming to PlayStation systems thanks to a new patent registered by Sony. Sunset Overdrive fans had a blast fighting off the OD on the Xbox One back in 2014, and now PlayStation users could have the chance to do the same.
